These are some tweaks to achieve fast internet connection.


Tweak 1:
1. Accessing the Group Policy Editor

i. type gpedit.msc on the search/start box of the home button
ii. 2-click Administrative under Local Computer Policy
iii. 2-click Network
iv. BITS
v. 2-click limit the maximum network bandwith for BITS
vi. tick enabled
vii. value for limit background transfer rate(KBPS): 0
viii. from 12 am to 12 am
ix. exit/close explorer

x. go back to Network under Local computer policy
xi. 2-click QoS Packet scheduler
xii. 2-click limit outstanding packets
xiii. tick enabled and set value to zero(0)
xiv. exit explorer

xv. under same directory with limit outstanding packets, 2-click limit reserve bandwith
xvi. tick enabled and set value to zero(0)
xvii. exit explorer completely

2. Optimizing The Upload Speed


i. go to search box and type regedit.
ii. click HKEY CLASSES ROOT
iii. right click over the blank space and create a DWORD VALUE naming it to SendSocketBufferLength and give a decimal value of 65536
iv. Exit

SG VISTA/WIN7 TCP/IP PATCH

Description: The SG Vista TCP/IP patch us a quick way to optimize Vista TCP/IP settings for broadband internet connections. It sets both netsh auto tunning levels and modifies the Windows Registry as recommended by our Vista Tweaks article. It is recommended to run the patch when logged in with administrative priviledges. The patch allows for reverting all settings to their respective Windows default values as well. Note you may have to right-click the link above and choose "Save Target As..." to save to your computer. To apply, save to your desktop and run as administrator (right-click -> run as administrator). Type Y when prompted to optimize parameters
