Apple Announce Iphone5c
The iPhone 5C will come in 5 colors: green, white, blue, pink, and yellow. It will also sport a
glass front and a hard-coated polycarbonate body with a steel reinforced frame, with the frame housing the internal components and doubling as the multiband antenna. Apple's colorful set of iPhones will sport a 4-inch retina display. A new camera app will provide 3X camera zoom, while a new Apple-designed A6 chip will provide efficient, powerful performance. It will also have a new FaceTime HD camera and will take advantage of an 8-megapixel iSight camera.
The iPhone 5C is priced at US$99 for a 16GB model and US$199 for a 32 GB model with a two-year contract in the US. The cases are pegged at US$29. CNET added that without a contract, the 16GB model will sell for $549, while the 32GB would cost $649.
The iPhone 5C will be available for pre-order in the US on September 13.
On September 20, it will be available for purchase in the United States, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore and United Kingdom, and in 100 other countries and over 270 carriers on December 2013.
Apple has also updated its website with a product information page for the iPhone 5C, providing more detailed technical specifications as well as a list of onboard applications including with the device..
Also announced at Apple's event was the iPhone 5S, which is currently seen as the higher-end counterpart of the iPhone 5C. Both the 5S and 5C will run on the iOS 7 mobile platform, though the 5S will take advantage of a 64-bit architecture
